What time will doors open and how do I get my nametag?
Doors open at 5:00pm. The check-in table will be in the foyer right in front of the ballroom doors. You will be able to pick up your nametag, meal card, and drink ticket at the check-in tables.
Is there a dress code?
Dress to impress in your business attire, cocktail fancies, or come as you are! Wear whatever you feel your best in! And make sure to check out our photo booth in the foyer!
Where is the Westin Seattle Grand Ballroom?
The Westin Seattle Grand Ballroom is located on the 4th floor of the Westin at 1900 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101.
How do I get there?
The Westin Seattle is accessible by bus, bike, light rail, and car.
Where can I park?
Event parking is $30 for self-park and $30 for valet. The parking garage entrance is at 1901 Westlake Ave. To get the rate, please let the attendant know you are here for the Climate Solutions event. For all other alternative parking options close to The Westin Seattle, visit Parking.com/Seattle and enter 1900 5th Avenue for the location.
Volunteers will be on hand to help you find your way once you enter the hotel. They'll be holding Climate Solutions signs.
What food will be served?
Hors d’oeuvres with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options during the reception hour.
A plated dinner will be served with pre-selected vegan, wild salmon, or chicken options. All of these options will be gluten free.
Will there be alcohol?
There will be cash bars and each guest will receive a drink ticket.
Is this a fundraising event?
Yes, this is Climate Solutions’ annual fundraiser. We appreciate donations at all levels. There will be an opportunity to support our work via a QR code giving option, or a remittance envelope.
Climate Solutions is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, our tax ID # is 91-1123302. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
What are the accessibility accommodations?
In accordance with our values, we strive to accommodate everyone and wish to provide an inclusive experience.
The venue is wheelchair accessible with elevators providing the opportunity to move throughout the building. Chairs with backs at tables will be available to all guests.
Will photos be taken?
Yes, we will have a professional photographer taking pictures throughout the evening.
This event will be photographed or recorded for use in materials to further the organization’s mission. Your participation at Climate Solutions events constitutes an agreement by you that Climate Solutions may use or distribute the photographic or recorded material with participant’s image and/or voice online, in print, or in other forms of media in perpetuity. Climate Solutions is committed to host inclusive events that are safe for all attendees. We have zero tolerance of any behavior that is racist, sexist, ableist, or discriminates against anyone. We will ask you to leave if there is:
- Harassment of any kind, including stalking, intimidation, unwelcome physical attention, physical assault, and verbal and sexual harassment.
- Discrimination of any kind based on someone’s race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, marital status, caregiver status, genetic information, veteran or military status, political ideology or affiliation, lawful union activity, or any other basis protected by applicable state, local, or federal law.
- Excessive consumption of alcohol and the use of illegal drugs. We reserve the right to require a venue to refuse serving alcohol to any person who in our view has consumed too much or is otherwise behaving inappropriately. Minors are prohibited from consuming alcohol at events. We encourage you to be responsible if you consume alcohol.
- If you find yourself the target of harassment, discrimination, or experience problematic behavior, please report this information to our staff and we will address the situation.
- If you witness inappropriate behavior take action – bystander engagement has proven to be one of the strongest deterrents to combat harassment and discrimination. This includes informing our staff during the event. Also, please be aware of the individual that you might inform as people with targeted identities may be impacted by your request.
