Senator Saldaña is a powerful champion for climate action, clean energy and social justice in the Washington State Legislature. In 2019 she led the successful Senate effort to pass a clean transportation bill, with over $160 million in renewed electric vehicle incentives, incentives for electrification of transit fleets and charging infrastructure and for the first time for the state to fund low-income electric car share. She is central to the push to adopt a Clean Fuel Standard and was the primary sponsor of the environmental justice-focused Healthy Environment for All (HEAL) Act.

She will discuss the strategies and coalition efforts that led to recent victories for climate and clean transportation, and help outline hopes and challenges for the road ahead towards true progress.

This breakfast is a great opportunity to connect with others, to support Climate Solutions' critical work throughout the Pacific Northwest, and to get a healthy and needed serving of hope and inspiration in this age of climate consequences.

We have an urgent opportunity for this place we love. Now more than ever as we experience climate impacts, it is clear we need to accelerate the transition to 100% clean and efficient energy in the region and beyond.
